Sometimes an official score needs correction — a transposed set, the wrong winner selected, or an organizer resolving a dispute. Ratings must stay consistent with the corrected record.
Replay, not patch
When an official score changes, Sports Axiom replays the affected rating timeline: the old result's influence is removed and the corrected result's influence is applied, including knock-on effects on later matches' calculations. The visible outcome is as if the corrected score had been entered originally.
Audit trail
Corrections are recorded with who made them and when. Players affected by a correction can see that their rating moved because of a correction, not a new match.
Voided scores
A score voided by the organizer stops counting entirely — the replay treats the match as if it produced no rating update, consistent with the no-update rule for voided results.
